Was flicking through things on my laptop last night, and decided to look up Laurence on his Bebo site. At the time of his dying in 2007, his friends had posted a lot, and in my murky state, I had managed to get photos of him, which I had never seen before, and some ramblings from him too. The ramblings were done when he had given up on his life in many ways, but some of the tributes to him were so pure and beautiful, not in a melodic sense, but written by friends who really knew him and didn't judge him. I am not computer literate, but now feel that I would like to share at least the pictures of him. dont know if any of you are able to access these, but I am so proud of my son and want to share with those who are interested. Type in" Laurence Geoffrey Chambers" on Google, and hopefully you will get the pics of him. Seeing them again, brought him home to me. They made me so sad, but at the same time showed me and my husband that inspite of his difficult life, he was pure and beautiful, and never once disliked or blamed anyone else for his difficulties. Soon it will be his 24th birthday, so perhaps now is the time to share them with you all. Edwina
Hi Edwina - I googled Laurence and was able to finally meet him. What a wonderful looking man he is. Just seeing his smile tells me I would have enjoyed knowing him in person. Thank you for sharing him. I know it had to be a bittersweet experience for you to see the pictures again.
Edwina, I love the pictures of Laurence. He so handsome and happy. He seemed very comical, too. I know he's with all of our children having a wonderful time.
Thanks to you all, it is good to share his pictures with you, and you know and understand what it is like. It is the first time I have thought about doing this. Sadly these are the only ones I have of him, as an adult, but masses as a child and growing up. Love to you all, Edwinax
