    Thinking all sorts at the moment. Blame has a huge role to play... and turning everything inside out. Only just realising how natural this becomes.

    should have asked her
    didn't have the guts to tell him
    couldn't mention it to her
    don't deserve to be helped if you can't help yourself
    See, you just can't do it can you?
    It isn't significant anyway
    How would that have helped?
    Don't flatter yourself!
    Nothing would have changed.
    No-one can make it any better
    You can't expect them to know
    Why did you expect her to help
    They might let you down
    They might tell someone else

    I could go on.. I guess it's familiar?

    i have heard all of this before or said some of these things it hurts when reality hits you in the face
